Time for some good news! We're excited to introduce you to this year's recipients of the FOM Foundation scholarships. When we raise money at Ohana Luau at the Lake , most of the money is earmarked for The Easter Island Foundation for scholarships with a significant portion of the proceeds supporting students of Rapa Nui ancestry. No, it's not a tabloid headline! Two reefs of the New England Queequeg chapter (Rokovoko and Innsmouth) recently raised enough money to purchase 1.5 goats and half a flock of chicks through Heifer International. After the FOM Foundation matched funds, there was enough to purchase 5 goats and 1 flock of chicks. However, that's not the end of the generous goat gift. Another matching gift was found and the donation was increased 5X - making a grand total of 25 goats and 5 flocks of chicks!...
